Also known as aerobic training, cardiovascular training (or, "cardio") incorporates sustained exercise using the larger (for example, the leg) muscle groups, and during cardiovascular or aerobic exercise, oxygen is continually pumped to your muscles. For maximum fitness results, Strong Island Fitness incorporates 'interval training' - alternating periods of high-intensity exercise with recovery, or low-intensity exercise - into our cardio program. The combination of cardio with interval training not only improves heart rate, but increases physical speed and endurance. Strong Island Fitness is also concerned about the safety of patrons. Before undertaking an intense exercise regimen, it's recommended that you first check with your doctor.

The Strong Island Fitness program is designed to challenge effort and coordination with 60 minutes of movement. Tailored to meet individual needs, no two sessions are alike, but all are fun, fast-paced, and even educational. The result is an increase in fitness as well as improved metabolism, body composition, and exercise technique.
